Q: Hey Ed what are you shooting with ?
A: A camera. LOL

I've noticed a large amount of people on the web are very biased toward their camera brand. The forums are full of comments on what my system does better than yours etc... Truth is all of the major DSLR manufacturers are really close and in the hands of a good photographer I challenge anyone just by looking at a photo to determine what brand was used to get it. It evens goes deeper than comparing brands people are constantly longing for the next model or update to their camera instead of just enjoying what they have and making the most of it. One quote I've read really stands out in my mind "in the hands of a novice high end equipment can produce horrible results while a master photographer can produce an award winning photo with a throw away" ok its not exact but the meaning is correct. To sum all of this up enjoy what you have and with practice you'll get great results.

My current set up:
Sony DSLR A700 with VG - great 12mp ASP-C sensor camera, good frame rate, in camera jpeg engine rocks a real joy to shoot.
Sony DSLR A850 with VG - 24mp Full Frame Sensor, I shoot only in RAW, detail WOW, FF DOF amazing, I love this camera
Lenses - Sony 16-80mm f3.5-4.5 CZ, Sony 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 G, Sony 18-250mm f3.5-6.3, Sony 100mm f2.8 macro
Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 HSM and Sigma 50mm f1.4 HSM
Manfrotto 190XPROB with a 322RC2 pistol grip head and a Manfrotto monopod
Flash - Sony HVL-F58AM and a full set of Alienbees B800s stands softboxes etc...

Well that wraps up my first blog.

Ed
